Black Diamond Burlesque was formed in Sarasota in 2010 and has been delighting audiences with a combination of innocence and sensuality, laughter and passion, pleasing ALL the senses, ever since.

Black Diamond Burlesque's rotating cast of characters includes mistress of ceremonies Vixen St. James, illusionist Gypsy Allure, crowd favorites Candy Muldune and Mina Munro, powerhouse Mademoiselle Rowdy Pants, and troupe co-founder Miss Petite Coquette, along with live music, vaudeville, and variety. Burlesque spices things up at McCurdy's Comedy Theatre! Stand-up comedy has its roots in the American Burlesque of the early 1900s mixing a combination of comedy, music, and variety acts, and striptease artists such as Josephine Baker and Gypsy Rose Lee. We are proud to present this art form in our theatre with the tantalizing Black Diamond Burlesque.
